A repertoire of swing, hot club and Latin featuring Dave Lee (Clarinet), Willy Fluss (Guitar), Simon Goulding (Bass) and Ian Bell (Drums).

                  Thursday 13th February - Candy Time

Unique interpretations of Coltrane, Davis & Monk.

Tim Holmes (sax), James Woodrow (guitar), Phil Scragg (bass) and Chris Baron (drums) blend their collective skills, versatility and dedication into a unique sound.

                          Thursday 27th March - New Century Ragtime Orchestra

Ragtime greats and jazz entertainment - fronted by Steve Andrews on Saxophone & Clarinet. With arrangements of classic ragtime tunes and melodies from the pioneering bands of the 1920's,this ten piece ensemble entertains and thrills audiences at jazz festivals and concerts everywhere. Their set at Whitley Bay July ,2002, was skilfully recorded by Paul Adams (Lake Records) and has been licensed by a major label.

                  Thursday 17th April - Sue Parish with the Jon Moore Quartet

Inspired by her favourite vocal greats, Sue Parish interprets songs from the golden era of Jazz and Swing. Settings, moods and rhythms -from sultry Latin to the downright bright and breezy- are conjured up by guitarist Jon Moore, pianist Mike Taylor, Jon Thorne ,double bass and, Tim Franks on drums.

                                            Thursday 15th May - Crazy Rhythm

In a joyous jazz celebration of music from Brahms and Bizet, Gershwin and Joplin, to Django and Bach, the mastery of Paul Hares and Tony Wright on guitars and Nigel Thompson on double bass capture the imagination in a repertoire of entertaining variety and diversity.

Thursday 24th July - Alan Barnes en passant Appleby Jazz Festival

Always the best attended gig in our calendar - and rightly so. Band personnel as follows :-   John Donaldson - Piano, Simon Thorpe - Bass, Clark Tracey - drums.

                                Thursday 21st August - The Jayne Crow Jazz Band

Jayne Crow is a classically trained singer and teacher who performs in various styles. The mainstream / modern quartet which accompanies her plays its own arrangement of Jazz and Latin standards. Personnel is Paul Froggatt on saxophone, Rob Steels on double bass, Mike Reynolds on piano and Ted Richards on drums.

                          Thursday 18th September - Steve Andrews Swingtet

Steve Andrews plays clarinet and a variety of saxophones in an enthralling celebration

of jazz from the golden era.

Thursday 16th October - Palmer & Page with Friends

This popular saxophone and guitar duo augment their smooth approach to jazz standards with special arrangements to include clarinet, piano, bass and drums.

Thursday 6th November - Sue Kibbey with Mainline Jazz

Since moving from the South Lakes to the West Country, Sue Kibbey has found fame singing at many jazz festivals. Return visits have been few, but this reminder of her talent may hopefully lead to more!

Thursday 11th December - The Syd Patterson Concept

Local legend Syd Patterson breathes new life into re-discovered band arrangements and recaptures the talents of Jim Thompson on tenor sax, Brian Parkinson on guitar, "Sizzle" Scaife on drums and Roy Cansdale on double bass in a reconvergence of musical 'routes'.
